KISE pupils' trip and performance of drama, Islamabad
Pupils and staff of KISE went on a trip to Islamabad on 10 November 2006. They also performed a drama about the 8 October 2005 earthquake at Lok Virsa (Islamabad) during the Folk Festival.

Visits to KISE in November 2006
Mr B Philliphs, Educational Psychologist of the Royal School for deaf & communication disorders (Cheshire, UK) visited KISE's staff and pupils on 1 November 2006.
Mrs K Lindley, Headteacher of Victoria Primary School (Keighley, UK) and delegates visited KISE on 13 November 2006.

Purpose-built school (with photos of land!)
On 6 July 2006 the government of Azad Kashmir allotted an area of land measuring 60 X 120 feet near School No. 2, Mirpur, for a purpose-built school building for Kashmir Institute for Special Education (KISE). In the very near future, inshallah, AWT will commence building a four storey complex which will provide hostel facilities (accommodation), a vocational workshop and other facilities for the deaf children of KISE. AWT will also develop the playground of Pilot Secondary School No. 2 for the mutual benefit of both schools.
